Creating Services

Services are the jobs you offer. Customers select services when booking through the Public Booking Page. The services you configure determine how long each appointment takes and what customers see as their options.

How to Create a Service

  1. Go to Settings → Services
  2. Click Add Service
  3. Enter the service details (see below)
  4. Click Save

Service Fields

Name

The name customers see on the Public Booking Page. Use clear, plain language your customers will recognize. Examples:

  • Standard Cleaning
  • Deep Clean
  • HVAC Tune-Up
  • Lawn Mow — Small Yard

Duration

The estimated time in minutes required to complete this service. RouteSense™ uses duration to calculate when a resource will be free for the next appointment.

Set a realistic duration that includes time to perform the work. Buffer time for travel and preparation is handled separately by RouteSense™.

tip

If your service varies in duration based on property size or complexity, consider creating multiple service entries — for example: Lawn Mow — Small, Lawn Mow — Medium, Lawn Mow — Large.

Price (Optional)

The price customers see for this service on the Public Booking Page. This is a display value only — Chronicaly does not process payments through the booking page. Leave blank if you prefer not to display pricing.

Description (Optional)

A short description shown to customers during the booking process. Use this to set expectations about what the service includes.

How Services Affect Scheduling

When a customer selects multiple services, RouteSense™ adds the durations together to calculate the total appointment length. This total duration is used when checking whether a time slot is available for a given resource.

Managing Your Service Catalog

You can edit or deactivate services at any time. Deactivating a service removes it from the Public Booking Page but does not affect existing appointments that already include that service.
