Creating a Location
A location represents a physical base of operations for your business — an office, warehouse, or starting point your resources work from. Your appointment schedule, service areas, and resource assignments are all tied to a location.
How to Create a Location
- Go to Settings → Locations
- Click New Location
- Fill in the required fields (see below)
- Click Save
Required Fields
Location Name
Give your location a clear, descriptive name. If you operate a single location, something like Main Office or your business name works well. If you have multiple locations, use names that distinguish them — for example: Dallas North, Fort Worth Branch.
Address
Enter the physical address of your location. This address is used as the starting point for RouteSense™ travel time calculations when a resource has no prior appointment for the day.
Time Zone
Select the time zone your business operates in. All appointment times, business hours, and schedule views for this location display in this time zone.
Set the time zone carefully before taking appointments. Changing the time zone after appointments are scheduled can cause display inconsistencies for existing bookings.
Business Hours
Set the days and hours your location is open for business. Appointment slots are only generated within your business hours.
You can set different hours for each day of the week. To mark a day as closed, toggle it off.
What Happens After You Create a Location
After creating a location you will need to:
- Define your service areas — where you are willing to travel from this location
- Add resources — the technicians or units that work from this location
- Configure time blocks — the specific hours each resource is available
Your location's business hours set the outer boundary for scheduling. Time blocks on individual resources can further restrict availability within those hours.
Managing Multiple Locations
If your plan includes multiple locations, each location operates independently with its own service areas, resources, time blocks, and booking settings. Resources are assigned to one location at a time.
